VascuPro™ is a comprehensive noninvasive vascular lab automation software application. VascuPro™ streamline the process of generating study reports, enhances the QA of the vascular lab and automatically populates ICAVL calculated fields with your data. VascuPro™ will increase the overall efficiency of your lab. VascuPro™ is currently in use in hundreds of vascular labs in North America and Europe with different spectrum ranging from single-technologist vascular lab all the way up to full Enterprise system serving chain of vascular labs located in different cities. VascuPro™ can be accessed over the web from anywhere! The Ultimate Digital Vascular Lab! -
VascuPro™ automatically captures velocity data and DICOM images from Duplex Equipment of Philips, GE, Siemens, Zonare and others. VascuPro™ also captures pressure and waveform data from physiologic equipment of Unetixs, Hokanson, PARKS and others. The advantages of automatic capture of images and data include the following: -
Saving the technologist paperwork effort and time. The average gain is one hour per each five studies! -
Eliminating a potential source of typographical error. The velocity data is automatically imported from duplex equipment. -
Post study image analysis. Measurements like diameter or velocity can be estimated on an image. -
Instant comparison with images from prior studies. While viewing a study image, click on the menu "compare with last study" and images of the same anatomical segment from the last study are instantly displayed with the date of that study. -
Generating fancy reports with embedded DICOM images. -
VascuPro™ completely supports DICOM SR vascular modality. DICOM SR enables duplex equipment to send almost all study data with study images in a standardized format. VascuPro™ is 100% compatible with DICOM SR. -
VascuPro™ integrates with PACS systems via standard DICOM Q&R interface. Study images can be permanently stored in PACS system and VascuPro can easily reprieve them as needed. VascuPro™ also can store and manage images via MiniPax™ -
Physicians interpret studies data, view DICOM images and sign a study report on a single from that contains a list of all studies waiting for signature. This form can be accessed over the web with complete image viewing capability. - Signed study reports are instantly published on the hospital EMR system via a robust HL7 interface. VascuPro™ has been integrating with most EMR systems in North America. The HL7 engine is blazingly fast.
- Automatically generated study worksheet and final report can be printed, e mailed and faxed to a group of recipients with a single click.
- All free text fields of VascuPro™ have word processing capabilities like controlling font, color, layout etc., medical dictionary and support Macro saved statements. You can generate a fancy looking report with very little effort.
- VascuPro™ keeps track of non compliant patients and instantly generate follow-up letters.
Advanced QA and ICAVL Accreditation: - VascuPro™ directly exports data into the ICAVL application after computing all the required statistics for ICAVL accreditation. All data-calculated
fields in the ICAVL application are automatically populated with a few mouse clicks. - VascuPro™ ships out with hundreds of built in queries and reports, for example study counts, risk factors summary, plaque distribution and indications analysis. It also supports creating new queries and reports. Users can select any group of lab studies based upon any criteria including the study findings. For example: carotid duplex scans with a certain velocity, certain diameter reduction with also peripheral arterial disease.
- VascuPro™ can instantly compares the accuracy of diagnosis in relation to any accepted gold standard. The generated report includes the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and over all accuracy.
- VascuPro™ can validate the diagnostic criteria for any degree of diameter reduction via ROC analysis. This analysis can improve the overall diagnostic accuracy of the lab by applying the best diagnostic criteria.
VascuPro™ Connectivity: -
Connectivity with equipment: -
Imaging Equipment: -
VascuPro™ connects with all DICOM III compliant duplex equipment to automatically acquire study images. -
VascuPro™ acquires study velocity data from most duplex equipment including equipment made by Philips, GE, Siemens and Zonare -
VascuPro™ completely supports DICOM SR vascular modality with several institutes already adopting this technology. -
Physiologic Equipment: -
VascuPro™ acquires pressure and waveform data from most physiologic equipment that supports sending such data. -
Unetixs, Hokanson, PARKS and other physiologic equipment support exporting studies data. -
Connectivity with EMR: - VascuPro™ communicates with all EMR systems that support HL7 interface, e.g. Cerner PowerChart, MARS, All-script, MediTech.
- ADT, Orders, billing and Outbound interfaces are completely supported
- Connectivity with PACS Systems:
- VascuPro™ can send images to query and retrieve images from any PACS system that supports DICOM Q&R.
- Alternatively VascuPro™ with MiniPax™ can provide the functionality of a PACS system at significantly less cost
Technical Specifications: - VascuPro™ is a true client server application utilizing Microsoft SQL Server as database engine. Thus VascuPro™ scales from a small single-technologist vascular lab to an enterprise multiple hospitals and vascular labs enterprise system. VascuPro™ can utilize SQL server 2000 or SQL server 2005.
- VascuPro™ can be accessed over the web, the web version is essentially the same as desktop version. No VascuPro™ client installation is required.
- For less than 10 concurrent users VascuPro™ does not require a dedicated hardware server. For 10 or more concurrent users a dedicated server improves the performance.
- The server Spaces include:
- CPU Dual Xeon processors
- 4 Gigabytes RAM
- 1 Gigabyte per each 50,000 lab studies data. For image storage consider the following:
- Image size range between 100 KB and 3 Megabytes based upon the resolution and number of frames.
- Multiply by the number of images per study
- Multiply the result by the total number of studies per year to get how much disk space you need per year.
- Allow 20% more space than needed.
- The server operating system: Windows 2000 server or Windows 2003 server.
- The workstation specs include:
- If image viewing is planned then 19 Inch monitor with 700:1 contrast ratio and Pixel Response Time < 15 (milliseconds)
- P IV processor 2 GHz or higher
- 512 Megabytes RAM
- 200 Megabytes disk space
- LAN 100 Megabytes or faster with TCP/IP
